Okanagan Rail Trail is a disused rail route from Coldstream in the North running all the way to downtown Kelowna. At present it is not possible to cycle the full length (there is one spot just at Duck Lake not open). There has been a rapid growth in cycling in the local area, many visitors will cycle around Wood Lake utilizing Pelmewash Parkway, this is a great afternoon ride (we like to finish with ice cream at the Oyama Store. You can also head North along the side of Kalamalka Lake, its about a 45 minute ride to Kekuli Bay provincial park or about 1.5 hours one way to Kal-Beach in Coldstream, again you can reward yourself with a delicious treat from the Rail Trail Cafe. In the summer it does get hot! so you may want to ride early morning or later in the evening. Click here for all the details about the Rail Trail.
