Voice and Land

Alison Beaumont and Pippa Dean-Veerman

Be with the land,

Waning moon.

Be still with the land,

Beguiled by entrapments,

Be still with the land and listen.

Don't hear, listen, listen with all of you.

We cannot,

We cannot be still,

Me you with us,

Me with you with us,

Me with you with us,

We cannot be still with the land,

Be us.

We cannot be still with the land and listen,

Step away from entrapments step aside, step alongside,

Allow now,

Moon dance.

Flying human and non-human,

Birds raising their voices to be heard,

Listen. Clear chatter, mind your mind. Stop. Rest.

Water lapping, we make waves,

Be still,

Rest your soul,

When will we be still on the land, rooted with the earth?

When will we be with the land?  Mind your mind...behave!

When will we be still with the land and listen? Words dissipate.

Dancing with the moon.

The land is marked by our presence, permanently, irreversibly.

Listen. Listen. Listen with our heart.

The land asks we be still,

Land asks, we be still and listen.  Listen.

Feel the pain of the land and sentient beings,

They are pleading with us, to save us,not them,

You me us,

We can be still, our collective mind,

We can be still with the land and listen, you have forgotten that,

We can be still with the land and listen, release you're entrapments,

We can be still with the land and listen,

We can be still with the land and listen,

We can be still with the land and listen,

Land shall fill us,

We become land while we listen,

We become water, we become spirit, while we listen.

You me us.

You me us.

You me us.

You me us.

You me us.

You me...us.
